Which
one of your races stands out the most in your mind and
why:
Steve: "The first win this year stands out the
most because it was a 3-way battle with me, Lee Hobbs
and Joey Lucas for the lead/win. Just to out run those
guys was a big stepping stone in my eyes. "
We
all know it takes more than one person to be successful
in racing, who do you feel contributes to your career
sucess?
Steve: "My family is very supportive. My mom and
sisters take care of the t-shirts and cheering section.
My dad helps me with set-ups on the car and my girlfriend
Allison helps me with all the PR work. She created the
website, does all my sponsorship proposals, and takes
the heat after a bad night:)"

What
tracks do you race at?
This year we stuck around Paragon Speedway, mostly
because I live about 2 minutes from the track and with
gas prices the way they are,
but we have ventured to Brownstown a time or two. Next
years plans are to run Bloomington on Friday and Paragon
on Saturday.

Any
special events or news for the upcoming season you would
like to share with your fans?
We have recently added something for the kids on our
website. It’s coloring pages of my car and sponsors.
I remember when I was a kid I always wanted to draw
racecars and color them, so we added that to the website
so they can be printed out.

Closing
thoughts?
As of right now, we have won 5 of 9 races. Thanks to
my family, and the sponsors listed above for their support.
We have been through alot this
year. On June 7, 2008, we received 13 inches of rain
overnight that flooded Paragon. It took the house, garage, and
vehicles. Luckily the racecar was on jack-stands and
the water just missed going into the exhaust ports.
Its been alot of work and alot of stressed out nights
but winning and running good makes up for all of it!
Big Thanks goes out to Dirt Scoops!!
