Dirt Scoops: Tell us how you got interested in racing:

Jimmy: My grandfather, uncles, and dad raced when I was just a baby, then older my cousins. I guess you could say I was born into the sport.

Dirt Scoops: Tell us about your family:

Jimmy: I am married to Karen and have two step children Derek and Heather. Derek is a police officer for Knightown, IN. and Heather is married to Ryan Thomas, who also races a modified; the #D1 Diamond race cars entry.

Dirt Scoops: List your career high lights:

Jimmy: Just being able to race, make friends, and have fun is a highlight to me.

Dirt Scoops: Which one of your races stands out the most in your mind and why:

Jimmy: Winning a feature on 4-28-07. Ray Humphry, Paul Bumgardner, and I swapped leads and ran three wide most of the race and to just say I came out on top against a couple of the best in the business really stands out.

Dirt Scoops: We all know it takes more than one person to be successful in racing, who do you feel contributes to your career success?

Jimmy: My wife, Karen and God. I can't thank my wife enough for being so supportive and understanding; plus God for just giving me the opportunity.

Dirt Scoops: What tracks do you race at?

Jimmy: Brownstown, Lincoln Park Speedway, Gas City, Eldora, Kamp, and a occasional Bloomington.

Dirt Scoops: Any special events or news for the upcoming season you would like to share with
your fans?

Jimmy: We are already planning and talking with potential sponsors for the 09 season and it appears right now we will be able to be found at Gas City on Friday nights then alternate between Brownstown and Lincoln Park Speedway on
Saturday. We plan on wrapping up the 08 season at Eldora for the UMP Fall Nationals the first weekend of Oct.

Dirt Scoops: Do you have a web site so fans can keep up on your progress?

Jimmy: I have been asked by so many this very question. No, we currently don't have a site but very motivated to get one going for the fans.

Dirt Scoops: Closing thoughts?

Jimmy: I just want to thank all my sponsors for all their help, without them we couldn't do it, the fans for coming out every Friday and Saturday nights and rooting us on...it means allot! We appreciate each and everyone of you!! My wife and just the friendship of my fellow competitors which is what racing is all about....HAVING FUN!
