Bobby Himself:
I'm married for 11 years. I have two children, Cody17
and Crysta14. We are foster parents. I live in Chandler In. I am a graduate
of the University of Evansville/ Paramedic. I am also a graduate of
the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy.
I drive a Pro Modified Ford 2.0. I currently race at Chandler Motor
Speedway (Chandler In)and High Banks Speedway (Philpot KY)
I have been racing for a total of four a half years. I became interested
by accident. I was working security at CMS while I was a police officer
and found out a few friends raced. I became more interested and started
coming to the races that I wasn't there to work. The last race of the
season a friend let me drive his street stock and I was HOOKED for sure.
My favorite professional racer is Tony Stewart. I like his honest opinions
even if you don't always agree with what he has to say. My favorite
local drivers Bobby Taylor (UMP Open Wheel) like Tony Stewart, Bobby
gives you an honest opinion of what he thinks you're doing right or
wrong. Larry (Buck) White. (Vintage) Buck taught me a lot of how to
get started. He also is there to cheer me on or kick me in the butt,
if needed.
The best part of racing from the start is it has been a family thing.
My Mom and Dad were there every night before my Dad's health has gotten
worse. My brother and I have raced against each other and with each
other. He is the one who make sure everything is like it should. And
last but not least my wife Summer. She is there week end and week out.
She knows how to talk racing with me since she has been a scorer for
CMS three years, in the past.
His Career Highlights:
99 Third place in season points and rookie of the year.
00 Forth place in season points
06 Fifth place in season points
07 Fourth place in season points.
The award that means the most to me is being voted one of the favorite
driver awards at CMS in 99.
My plans for next year is pull this tired old motor and rebuild her.
Watch out! To change the body style to a dirt late model. And to help
the Pro Modified class grow!
His nickname is Bobby, always Bobby. Robert only if I'm in trouble!
Thanks Troy for the interview and good luck from all of
us at Indiana Dirt Scoops!
